Max Coates is a professional racing car driver from North Yorkshire.  After starting Karting at the age of 8 he has risen through the ranks to race and win in a number of different series including the Clio Cup, MINI Challenge, Porsche Sprint Challenge and Carrera Cup.  Having raced in more BTCC support series than any other driver in history, he is a well-known in the paddock and fan-favourite winning multiple fan voted driver of the year awards.

In 2026 Max is planning to race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in which he won two races outright in 2025 driving for the Duckhams Yuasa Racing team with Graves Motorsport.

Away from the track Max is a racing driver coach, owns a race team and marketing agency, High Row Motorsport and High Row Marketing, and is the business development manager for Croft Circuit.
